One thing it had going for it was that it was entirely free at the time. Of course, it was not as mainstream, but it was still a very nice tool for beginners and professionals. Perhaps I am simply more lazy, but there’s definitely something more direct about watching someone speak rather than read his writing. I’ve personally always felt like video is an easier form of content to digest than writing.
